Creative Resilience
Therapy Service (TS)
It is my pleasure and an honor to be chosen as a part of a therapeutic relationship. I find value in being a 'sounding board' for people who need to get emotional pain out of their bodies, and enjoy helping individuals fill their toolboxes with coping skills, suggestions, and positivity to improve whatever is wearing on them in life. I value the autonomy of the individual, and enjoy helping my clients come up with positive solutions for their problems.
Meet Halene
My name is pronounced similarly to ‘Helene.’ I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and a Certified Advanced Alcohol and other Drug Counselor (CAADC), and have been providing mental health therapy and addiction treatment services for the past decade. Some of my interests include working with members of the LGBTQ community (and their family members), survivors of domestic abuse, and of course, people interested in recovery from addiction. I have training in CBT, DBT, and EMDR, and am always looking for creative ways to help my clients heal.
I enjoy a variety of self-care/positive coping activities including craft projects, baking, playing the piano, gardening, reading, comedies, and spending time with my dog, Lupin (an anxious, failed therapy dog for whom I am an Emotional Support Human).
Therapy Space
My goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for individuals to discuss what is bothering them, be heard, and find assistance. One does not necessarily need to have a medicated mental health issue to seek therapy-- just a desire for help in improving oneself. Everyone deserves to have the best mental health they can manage!
